Captured in 1949 this photograph shows the 1st United Methodist Church Choir group. The photograph shows the interior of the original church building. The organ pipes were located behind the curtains on the rear wall left and right of the altar. When the new building was constructed in 1977, the building committee repurposed many of the features seen in this photograph. The hanging lights, the altar rail, the doors coming into the sanctuary (unseen), the stair railing (unseen), and sections of molding were used in the new church building.

The two groups of children wearing bows were in the Cherub Choir. This group appears behind the altar rail. The Junior Choir is on the left and the Senior Choir is on the right.

People noted in this photo include Rev. Robert B. Howe, A. G. Carney, choir directors Rosemary Murphy, Paul Shauer (senior), Phyllis Smashey (youth).

Facing the wall, Marilyn Plasket is located in the 1st row, right side, number 2. Barbara is located 3rd row, right side, number 1.
