The history of Glasboro's high school starts with the first high school curriculum which was approved in 1908. At this time three classrooms in the Academy Street School were designated for use with high school-aged students. With the continuously growing population in Glassboro, three classrooms were not enough, and the need for a new building was evident. As a result, the community decided to build the first Glassboro High School structure. The former location of Mr. Samuel Ewan's house was selected for the new school building. The Whitney Glassworks owned the land and were paid $2,199 for the ground. Glassboro High School was built in 1913 by the local builder, Frank C. Ware. It cost approximately $28,500 to build. The school was constructed with red brick with white sandstone trim. The first classes at this school were supposed to begin on December 1, 1913, but due to a heating system defect, the school did not open until the first week in January. This structure was located on High Street near the approximate coordinates: 39.703350, -75.113390.

In 1929, the school was yet again too small for the growing population, so a new high school was built at 202 Delsea Drive at the following coordinates: 39.707813, -75.108488. The previous high school building became the junior high school when the new school on Delsea Drive opened. Eventually, St. Bridget's Church purchased the High Street structure and used it as a private school. This building was demolished in the early 2000s to make way for new development.

In 1965, Glassboro High School moved to its current location at 500 Joseph L. Bowe Blvd.
