The home in this photograph was known by various names, including the Pedrick home, the Patton House, and "the Mansion." The structure was located at the approximate map coordinates of 39.707307, -75.111508. The driveway was located on North Main Street, and the house sat about 30 to 40 yards from the road.

Mr. Christopher Sickler started to build the home in 1856; however, he ran out of funding and did not complete it. A few years later, in 1860, Alfred C. Pedrick purchased the property and completed the house shortly after. Many generations of the Pedrick family lived in the home.

Later, William Patton, who was an attorney, purchased the property. It is our understanding the Patton family owned the home for many years. After the family sold the house, it frequently exchanged hands until it became a fraternity. William Patton's son, Grant William Patton, later became a widely regarded obstetrician.

The home later became known as "the Mansion" and stood in Mansion Park until burning down in the 1970s. At the time of the fire, the Mansion was home to Glassboro State College's TKE fraternity and provided a popular party destination for students.
