Public School Class Picture, 1917

This is a group photo of public school children in front of the old post office building on the southeast corner of Main Street and High Street. The Post office was used for classes after the February 21, 1917 fire that destroyed the Academy Street School. This photo was likely taken in the spring of 1917.
