Glassboro High School and Intermediate School

These are photos of Glassboro High School, which later became Glassboro Intermediate School. The location is 202 Delsea Dr, and the map coordinates are 39.707763, -75.108507. 

Due to changing demographics and declining student enrollment, the Glassboro School District sold the building to Rowan University in 2022. 

The structure was built as the Glassboro High School in 1930 for approximately $400,000. In the 1940s, during World War II, numerous students enlisted in the service, leaving high school in the middle of their senior year. During World War II,  18 Glassboro High School Students died for the country. The structure was used as a high school until 1965, when a new school was constructed on Joseph L. Bowe Boulevard.

The original high school was located on High Street and Poplar Street (this section of Popular no longer exists) at the approximate map coordinates 39.703399, -75.113337. 

St. Bridget's Church bought the High St. location and turned it into the private St. Bridget's Catholic School. It is also important to note that Glassboro High School has been an integrated school throughout its history. The school has undergone construction throughout the years, and the additions can be seen in some pictures.
