Capie House-Good News for Glassboro Residents

This is a 2006 report from Dr. Thomas Gallia, vice president for University Relations about the completed negotiations surrounding the Capie House at 29 Mullica Hill Road. Rowan University purchased the Capie House, and stated that the Capie House would not be demolished as many had feared and it would still maintain its structural integrity. The Capie House was the last structure directly relating to the Whitney family's presence in Glassboro, New Jersey. The Capie House was later demolished in July of 2010 by the University, citing a cost of $1.7 million in repairs and preservation necessary for it to remain standing.
