Glassboro Cooperative Farmers Auction (Inside)

This photograph shows the interior of the Glassboro Cooperative Farmers Auction market on July 16, 1958. Produce buyers would gather at the auction on specific days to place bids on lots of local produce, including apples, peaches, potatoes, tomatoes, and other items. The auction continued into the 1970s. At the top of the photo is the auctioneer's platform.

The facility was previously located between Greentree Road and Market Place at what now includes the area of Renlund Park toward Delsea Drive. The approximate map coordinates are 39.713808, -75.107739
