Shoemaker's Shop Advertisement

This items is an advertisement from Joseph Souder's shoemaker's shop, which was located near the corner of High Street and Academy Street. The advertisement is dated Sept. 15, 1880. The item was commercially printed by Pierce Printer, on thin white paper, which faded over time. The item was originally stored in a photo album with a sticky backing. This adhesive caused the horizontal banding seen in the advertisement. The advertisement shows a variety of typefaces used in the late 1880s.
