"Old Home Day" Celebration at the Franklin House, 1912

Glassboro residents celebrate Old Home Day with a parade at the Franklin House on August 1913 as New Jersey Governor James Fielder passes through. Fielder held office from 1913 to 1917, when he resigned and served as the state food administrator during World War I. The camera used to take this photograph was facing slightly northeast at this approximate location: 39.706402, -75.110951. In the second and third photos, below, right-center of the photograph, behind the trees, this building's left side (39.706441, -75.110596) is visible. In this photograph, the long side of the Franklin House, the side with the car near the railings, faces south toward West Street.
