Glassmont Development Model House

This photo shows a South Jersey Gas Company executive Jim Walker next to a sign for the Glassmont Development, which was built by the Glassmont Builders. This development is located behind the Glassboro Intermediate School at the approximate map coordinates 39.708706, -75.105939.

The houses in this development were connected to the natural gas line, which was not previously offered in Glassboro. A sticker on the photo states that this is from the Glassmont Development in Glassboro, NJ, while another sticker says that the man, Jim Walker, is associated with the South Jersey Gas Company. The Glassmont Builders built numerous houses. Glassmont may have been brought in as part of urban renewal after the depression.
